At age 13, Tauni got her first TB of her own “Finnagain Beginagain”

Hunter/Jumper Champion time & time again throughout Southern California

“Finnagain” was Tauni’s first partner in USPC where they were first introduced to Eventing! They loved it!

“Daisy” aka “Sneak Preview” (4 year old TB) came to Tauni (age 16) after her devastating loss of “Finnagain”.

“Daisy” was Tauni’s new project to learn how to train from the ground up. This gave Tauni incredible opportunities & knowledge for her future! Rewardingly, they worked so well together they moved up the ranks quickly!

Tauni (age 21) aboard Crystal’s horse “Whitney” aka “Forget Me Not”

Over the years Tauni worked at a Quarter Horse Ranch, a Thoroughbred Farm as well as a Horse & Pony Orphanage making friends with the abused & neglected horses & training them so they could be adopted to a good home.

Tauni began her teaching career in 1989 with her first job teaching at a local riding stable.  In addition, she also began filling requests for lessons @ SCR.

In 1992 Tauni & her mom, Crystal teamed up to begin putting on summer camps out at the Wylie’s 30+ acre ranch in order to raise funds to ship “Daisy” back to Kentucky for National Championships. (SCR Camps are still in demand every summer & during holidays).

In 1993, Tauni participated in the USPC’s “Visiting Instructor” program, teaching throughout the western part of USA for the summer… “that was such a fantastic experience!” Tauni says

Throughout the years Tauni has continued to train horses, teach students at SCR, as well as fulfill clinic requests.

In 2004, Tauni was invited to participate in the ICP training program for the USEA.  She traveled throughout California & New Mexico attending workshops, auditing & mentoring with Don Sachey, Darren Chiacchia, Brian Sabo, Karen O’Connor, Capt. Mark Phillips, Eric Horgan and numerous other extraordinary instructors. After an extremely nerve racking three day assessment, Tauni received her ICP Certification in June 2005.

Tauni is 1 of only 3 ICP Certified Instructors in Southern California (south of Los Angeles).
